Unsinkable Ship Discovered on Ocean Floor!
On this day in 1985, an American and French team discovered the Titanic, an enormous steamship that many thought was unsinkable. In 1912, while on its first voyage, the ship struck an iceberg and started to fill with water from the bottom up. About 1,500 passengers died as the ship split in two and sank to the bottom of the ocean. Researchers spent decades trying to find the mysterious ship and finally succeeded in 1985.
