Commemorating Florence Nightingale

On this day in 1820, Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, was born. Nightingale worked to improve hospital conditions, and she established the first nursing school. Nightingale's efforts resulted in better education and the right to medical responsibility for nurses.
