Let me meet ten men. What do the words in the first sentence have in common? Every letter in the sentence is found in the word "element." Just as many different words can be made from the letters in a word, many different compounds can be made from the elements in a compound. Write a letter to a friend explaining how elements combine in different ways to make different compounds. Use a word example like the one above to help your friend understand.
