A tsunami is going to hit the coast! People scramble to safety. They know if they don't act quickly, they could lose their lives.

Tsunami is the Japanese word for "harbor wave." Some people call a tsunami a tidal wave, though it has nothing to do with tides. Tides are caused by the pull of the moon's gravity on the Earth's ocean water.
